INGREDIENTS
14 oz. pkg. froz. gardein plant stuffed roasted turk’y – comes with gravy packets
white wine (optional)
extra virgin olive oil
Chick-fil-A Polynesian Sauce for dipping
This particular package contains two oval shaped loafs. It serves 4 people if used as a main with accompaniments, or serves 2 if having only that, which is fine too.
Although the package didn’t give air fry instructions, that’s the cooking method I chose. Otherwise, follow cooking instructions on package.
INSTRUCT
Bake frozen turk’y patties in basket over tray at 400 degrees for 20 minutes, then start checking for doneness to your liking. I want mine a little more tender, because I have teeth replacements. If you want more crispy, then cook longer, checking often.
Heat gravy out of package in microwave in small bowl or cook stove-top in little pan. Adjust for salt and pepper. If desired add a tad of white wine and a light drizzle extra virgin olive oil.
Remove from air fryer, place on board and slice into 3/8 inch thick slices.
If serving 2, place a bullet of gravy and also a bullet of Chick-Fil-A Polynesian Sauce (vegan) or other sweet dipping sauce for meats.
If serving family style, then place all meat on one platter with the sauce dishes with separate spoons for serving.
Notes: Usually I throw away the packets of sauce/gravy that come with frozen A-F meats. This day I decided to open it – tasted it and liked it. A litle wine and extra virgin olive oil makes it more special.
The stuffing wasn’t like homemade, but it worked regardless. The breading on the outside added to the overall texture achievement of the stuffing inside, which was nice.
Never having been a fan of animal turkey meat, I was surprised to enjoy this. Out of all the hot holiday dishes, stuffing was always my favorite – even cold or hot stuffing sandwiches with sliced cranberry sauce the next day. Not with this stuffing though; they’re won’t be any leftovers.
